BI-CENTRIFUGAL FAN

Dynamic Fan Corporation Backward Incline Fans have flat, backwardly inclined single surface blade wheels. BI Fans are known as non-overloading fans. This means that at a given RPM the required brake horsepower will not exceed a certain maximum value, no matter where the point of fan operation is on the performance curve. This feature can prevent overloading of the motor if the system resistance is variable. The non-overloading high-efficiency design generates low to moderate pressures.

BI WHEEL DESIGN

BI Fan Wheels are designed for relatively clean air applications with little or no particulate. They are designed to allow the wheel to perform at a high efficiency at lower tip speeds which delivers quieter and more cost effective operation. BI Fan wheels have single surface blades that are continuously welded to a tapered inlet shroud and a flat backplate. Taper bore steel hubs with easy release companion bushings are standard. All wheels are statically and dynamically balanced on precision electronic balancing equipment.

BI FANS

BI Fans are available in SW (Single wide) and DW (double wide) configurations with wheel diameters from 12.25” to 89”. Temperatures of up to 1000 deg. F. and air flow of 700 to 300,000 CFM up to 22” SP for SW and 1,200 to 500,000 CFM up to 22” SP for DW. All standard AMCA arrangements are available and all performance ratings are based on tests made in accordance with AMCA standards. Sizes and performance requirements outside the standard product line are also available upon request.

FAN CONSTRUCTION

Housings for all DFC fans are continuously welded for strength and are airtight. Extra heavy-duty steel gauges are used for superior strength with heavy-duty angles and bars added to the case for additional stiffness and support ensuring vibration free performance. Inlet cone spinnings are designed for smooth acceleration of airflow into the wheel for optimal efficiency. Continuously welded and drilled Inlet and Outlet flanges are standard on all fans. All-welded heavy-duty steel bearing pedestals maintain accurate drive alignment. We use anti-friction pillow block bearings rated for 100,000 hours (L10) of operation. Fan shafts are turned ground and polished and selected for a minimum first critical speed 33% above the maximum fan speed. Stainless Steel, Aluminum and special alloy construction is available for all fans.
